Copyright & Trademark Complaints

Version 1.0 · Effective 2026-08-22 · Last updated 2026-08-22

Listings on The Top Board display metadata (title, description, images) fetched from third-party destination sites, and every listing links to a third-party site. If you hold rights in a work or mark and believe a listing infringes them, this page explains how to tell us.

How to Submit a Complaint

Email legal@thetopboard.com and include:

  • your name and contact details, and whom you represent;
  • identification of the copyrighted work or trademark at issue;
  • the URL of the listing on our board you are complaining about;
  • the basis of the complaint (why you believe the listing infringes your rights);
  • any supporting information, such as registration numbers or links to the original work;
  • a statement that you believe in good faith that the complained-of use is not authorized by the rightsholder or the law, and that the information you provided is accurate.

What Happens Next

We review complaints and may hide or remove a listing, or its displayed metadata, while we review and after. We may forward the complaint to the listing's submitter. If the submitter responds with a counter-explanation, we handle it case by case and may restore, keep hidden, or permanently remove the listing based on the information available and applicable law.

Trademark Complaints

Trademark complaints (for example, a listing impersonating your brand or using your mark in a misleading way) go through the same channel and the same process described above.

Scope

This page describes our voluntary complaint-handling process. We do not claim any statutory safe-harbor designation under any particular country's law, and this process does not replace any formal procedure available to you under applicable law. Misuse of this channel to suppress legitimate listings may itself be treated as abuse.
